NIJ 0101.06 Certificated Level III STA Side Plates

Lightweight side rifle plates, starting at 1.43 pounds (6×6), are available from Newtech Level III. This armor has passed NIJ 0101.06 protocol testing. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) bonded with a SiC (ceramic) chip is the highest grade of ballistic materials used in engineering Newtech Armor, designed to be a robust stand-alone armor system. This plate reduces deflection and spall and is tested at muzzle velocity.
